columbia folding bke
By axeman
I like the bike very convienent and you can take it with you everywere. The down side is the little bell was broken on delivery (not a big thing) but it needs to be replaced. The seat tube needs to be longer for taller people, but other than that it's very easy to use and works just the way I want..... I drive an 18 wheeler and travel the 48 and now I can see more of this great big country and get exercise too. It's great now you are not confined to just hanging around the truck stop, a bike can let you expand your horizons.

Great for students
By J. Thomas
I bought this so I could get around faster on my campus. Since I'm also a commuter and full-time worker, I didn't want to have to mess with a bike rack so a folding bike seems like the best choice. I ended up going with this bike because
1 - it's cheap (please note that the -----price varies on the bike color-----. Black was the cheapest at the time of my purchase)
2 - it's light
3 - it fit inside my car
4 - had the larger tires so let peddling for me
So I bought it for myself, back in March of 2012 (it's now Oct)
I love the bike BUT there are some draw backs
1-I have a ford focus. In order to fit the bike in my car I have to take the handle bars off each time - it gets tedious
2-the paint doesn't hold up well to wear and tear - I ended up having to lay it on its side at one point, scrapped the paint to crap
3-the bell it comes with died on my first wipe out =[ sad day
4-for those of us who are used to normal size bikes, riding it takes some getting used to. you can't turn and peddle at the same time, as your foot will hit the tire (how I did my first wipe-out)
5-it shifts around more then I'd like in my trunk
6-for on road only, has virtually no shock system to speak of
The good:
1-very sturdy! I'm a big girl - around 170lbs (and loosing =]) this bike holds me and my book bag (~10lbs) no problem
2-well built - I've had a tune up and the bike store said it was one of the better folding bikes and I've wiped it out one it twice - the chain fell off one time but it was easily slipped back on and ready to go
3-does what it's suppose to-folding it easy and it's very compact
4-gears and breaks work great
5-adding things to it is not problem -just the same as a normal bike
6-seat is adjustable/replaceable
7-can adjust height of handle bars too
It's a great bike! I added a backpack rack to the back and haven't regretted the purchase. It works perfect for on campus and paved trails. I've added a water bottle holder to the handle bars (makes it easier to fold for me versus the one that comes with it) and bought a new bell. It works great, and I don't regret the purchase. At one point I'll repaint it or upgrade to a better, more expensive folding bike for I get more into it.

Beats Bike Racks
By Jethro Tull
The Columba Folding Bike is well built and rides exactly the same as a non-folding bike. When I drive around and see people's bikes on racks, and its raining, I think of all the rust damage and dirt accumulating in the sprockets, gears, etc. The bike folds nicely and sits in the back of our Pilot and can be covered with a dark blanket so it's virtually invisible, so obviously is much more secure from theft than a bike on a rack.
